He is also contributing his designs to the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong film scheduled to be released in 2021. As for advice to aspiring up and coming kaiju designers, Butcher suggests practitioners to stay true to their personal artistic style and to take cues from tokusatsu films if one so desires. He believes that of all the aspects of design, the most important part is to enjoy creating something from your heart and mind that can inspire an audience. Butcher is a pillar of the Godzilla franchise and has been responsible for some of its most iconic kaiju designs. With his dedication and passion, the Godzilla series will continue to be one of the most successful and beloved franchises in the popular culture domain.
